I'm worried about someone I care about

It can be distressing when someone you love may be experiencing suicidal thoughts. Learn more on this page.

I need help now

I’m worried about someone else

It can be so stressful as a young person if someone you care about is feeling suicidal or you think they might be.

If you're worried about a friend, another young person, or an adult who might be having thoughts of suicide, please talk to an adult you trust.

If someone has you worried, advice is available that may help you help them, but it's important to know that you are not responsible.

Worried about a friend?

Finding out that your friend is struggling and may be having suicidal thoughts can be a nerve-racking situation, but you can help.

There are many ways that you can support someone, and in our 13 Ways animated series we'll be sharing some to keep in mind. They have been co-created with young people, based on their own experiences.

These are not the only ways, and you might have some of your own, but a good place to start is letting your friend know you are there if they need you.
